Welcome to Exclusively Japanese Koi.

Based in and around the mountains of Ojiya in Niigata, Japan are some of the finest Nishikigoi, that are produced and reared anywhere in the world. During the months of February, March and April and also in October and November we source some of the very best tategoi tosai and nisai koi from a few selected breeders in this region and bring back to our facility in Norfolk, England.

 

What can Exclusively Japanese offer you?

Our aims are to bring you some of the very best koi from these breeders in Niigata. Not only do we wish to offer only very exclusive high quality koi, but to offer them at affordable prices. Our close relationship with the breeders allows us a unique access to obtain these koi. Members of our team are searching for koi throughout these periods. We do not claim to offer 100's of koi in fact quite the opposite and in some cases only 10 koi maybe on offer from one breeder.

What is so different about us?

The koi on this web site are kept in Japan by the individual breeders until the time of shipment. Their health and condition are monitored by Niigata's leading koi health vet Mr. Kasuaki Koike. until the day of the shipment

Our koi are packed and shipped by Japan Koi Export, based in Ojiya, Niigata and with over 25 years of experience in shipping koi around the world.

Each breeder we offer koi from is also committed to offer his very best service. All the breeders we use regularly have their koi test for KHV and SVC and come under the strict exporting guidelines from the Japanese Government Inland Water Research Testing Station based in Nagaoka.

Click onto the breeders page and select which breeder you wish to see. All fish can been seen and descriptions and price are in ￡ (Sterling) . New Koi from the breeders.

New koi will appear all the time for offer, we feel that time must be taken with each breeder over several months to source and then offer the koi for sale. The only way to keep a check on this is to visit the site regularly.　

When your Nishikigoi arrives back in the UK.

All our koi will be shipped back at the end of each period to the UK. We then quarantine the koi for a further 3 weeks before these koi are sold and collection can take place.
